Pairing American Mustangs
with loving homes

It is our vision to collaboratively raise awareness about adopting wild mustangs and burros by pairing them with interested youth and adults for a life experience neither will ever forget.
Why adopt a mustang?
Many people are willing to give loving homes to these incredible horses but lack the time or resources to do the initial training. By getting a wild horse started with the basics, you increase the likelihood that their next placement will be their forever home. Helping mustangs meet their full potential is a rewarding experience that hones your training skills and connects you with an amazing supportive, humble and kind community like no other in the horse world.
Why train a mustang?
Mustangs are often easy keepers, hearty, healthy, versatile mounts that are successful in all disciplines from trail riding to three day eventing, ranch riding to dressage. They come in a wide variety of sizes shapes and colors to fit your style and build a tight, trusting bond with their people. Not many people can say they ride a horse that was born in the wild! Giving a horse a loving home that would have otherwise struggled to find resources on the range, is an awesome way to do good in the world.
Why support mustangs?
Programs like MYWY help to raise awareness of this incredible breed by attracting skilled trainers who can help showcase the talent, smarts and skills of the American Mustang. 100% of the animals that have gone through the MYWY program have found an adoptive home at the conclusion of the program. Be proud to support a program that continues to help these American Mustangs find loving homes and donate today.

The MYWY Success Story of Chloe & Mesa
I first saw Mesa in one of the teaser pictures, her dark tipped ears and fuzzy forehead with a tiny star peaking out from behind the others. From that tiny glimpse, I knew that she would be the one. We met when I was 17, with a lifelong dream of working with a wild horse, one that I never thought possible. Until Mesa. Unsure of the journey that lay ahead I dove into the world of horse training. Mesa as my teacher. From there our partnership blossomed. We celebrated each victory - our first touch, our first ribbon, our first ride - each marking a milestone of our growing partnership. Uncertain if I would be able to keep her after the competition, I knew we had to find a way and so we did. Her playful and joyous personality pushes me to be the best I can be for not only her, but all horses. A constant reminder to make the most of life and enjoy the little things. Mesa is the first horse I have brought up all the way myself, she is now started under saddle and joins me in countless adventures teaching me more everyday. Our partnership has grown strong as we take on life together, showing the world just how incredible mustangs and a kind touch can be.
